Ft. Knox Human Resource Center of Excellence Project

The Human Resource Center of Excellence Center of Excellence at Ft. Knox, KY is responsible for all soldier career management, from swearing in to deeparting service.  Its units include Accessions Command, Human Resource Command, Army Recruiting Command and Army Cadet Command.

The HRCoE complex is the the largest construction project in the history of Ft. Knox and is currently the largest office building in the state.  This was also the largest single purchase ever made be the USACE Furniture Procurement Team headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama.  Designed to serve the soldiers and and civilians that will be coming to Ft. Knox as a result of the U.s. Defense Department's Base Realignment and Closure process, the LT. General Timothy J. Maude Building is named for the highest-ranking militaray offiecer killed in the september 11 attacks.  It has nearly 900.000 square feet ane employs nearly 5,000 soldiers and civilians.

Systems Design, Inc. partnered with Knoll Inc. to provide panel systems, private office furniture, conference and treaining tables, logistics servies, product installation and project management services for the the 4300 work stations, 500+ private offices and command suites and over 150 video conference and training rooms.  This project proved to be a model of efficiency and teamwork unmatched by any other to date, anywhere in the the continental U.S.  The six building complex was completed in less than five months, on time and on budget.  We are proud to have been associated with this truly historic project!
